History
The Kuumba Dance company was founded by Myron and Natalie Jackson.  A husband
and wife duo, married for over 25 years.    

The company has been in existence since 1980. Kuumba has provided numerous
audiences with their insightful display of traditional African folkdance and music.

This non-profit company has delighted audiences across the state of Florida and as far
away as Canada, playing schools, churches and festivals as well as opening for
internationally known artists such as:

Gil Scott Heron      Chief Ebenezer Obey
Ladysmith Black Mambazo
